hello to those who read…
a quick trip this weekend and a quick visit as well….it was one of those quality visits….chosen over quantity, as in minutes- because we all know what happens when your ambitions overtake your good common parental sense…you must not push that limit- that inner voice that says you better get your things and make a straight line trip to a path that leads to something less tiresome… so we enjoyed a drive from birmingham, visit with precious friends with a little tree climbing for the kids….a long walk (for kids) to food….and the kids made it to about halftime….the game day atmosphere never dissappoints…

and you probably know mia’s face – all too well…over it…

we loved every minute while it lasted..memories flooded my mind as we walked on campus…a precious time in life…

NEVERTHIRST UPDATE: We at BBTN have prayerfully considered a committment longterm with Neverthirst ministries. We think this group of men and women have put together a wonderful company that is committed to providing clean water through digging wells in villages situated in Sudan, South Africa, and India. 100% of the monies raised go directly to providing clean water, there are no administrative or travel costs taken out….truly amazing! We love the committment of this group (personal friends from college and after) behind the projects so we decided a few months ago to partner with them to adopt a village – meaning provide the financing for a well to be placed in an area where there is an overwelming need for clean water. That one well will privide water to more than 500 people possibly daily who would not otherwise have clean water to give to their families. To date, the staff at Neverthirst has paired us with a village in West Equatoria State, East Mundri County….the village of Witto. Thank you so much for your loyalty through letting your children wear BBTN clothing…we are hoping to be involved heavily throughout the coming years. Thank you again…we will more than likely have pictures of the village in a few weeks…

hello to those who read….
i have stumbled upon a precious blog…paige k…and then another…chatting at the sky…you know how it goes….for me? i get my laptop out to “get ahead” at night while catching up on my backlog in tivo….and i end up finding out what everyone else is up to in the blog world (sometimes…)

so tuesdays unwrapped (chatting at the sky), this week is what are you grateful for…..and this really falls alongside of my next blog topic anyway… or part of it…the point is the small things…but what i have realized is the small things are what make the big things tolerable…

i don’t know that i will ever share my entire story here…it is simply not the place…those that are very close know my story well and really it is not the story that is important….the fact is -that for everyone (i think) there is eventually something in your life that teaches you who God is…who he is not….and what you are made of….

i have found out those things in the past year…or a little more… once that journey has started i don’t know that you are ever the same…you gain some key pieces and lose alot….you are broken and restored to some degree…but any way you slice it you learn and you become stronger, you have to, either from learning or from sheer survival…and in the end the christian community likes to call it santification and stretching….(although to be honest? i would rather stretch in the gym and visit a sanctuary)….

but i didn’t tell you this to peak your interst in my story, because again it simply doesn’t matter…because God will use something in your life to bring you to a place where nothing and no one will fill the gaping hole that he created for himself….no one on earth can fill it…

so i say, in the interest of adhering to tuesdays unwrapped, in the midst of God teaching me i am grateful for ….

i continue to let time pass without posting and as a result pictures and words are saved…more will come soon….a little update and then editing and another post to come…soon

secondly….a little something out of the ordinary for this gym-clothes wearing, mini-van driving, baseball bleacher mom…. thursday night was a wonderful time in birmingham, thanks to NEVERTHIRST….and SARA EVANS….yup AF from leland…THE sara evans….

well…from the beginning…got the babysitter, consultated with those close about what exactly “casual” means….um….hmmmm?  is this one of those things that everyone SAYS they are going to wear jeans and they end up in their prom dresses?  **note to self…never be underdressed…would rather be a little dressy than look like the bleacher mom attire i tried to leave at home….you understand….enough said right?

so then on to AC’s house to kidnap favorite dress, then home to make more phone calls about whether or not you wear tights with tall boots and a short dress?  black? brown? (HELP!!!!! KM)  this is simply out of my realm…i will dress you child all day just don’t stinkin’ ask me to get dressed correctly and mingle with adults that work outside of the home….it is at this point that i confess that while i appear most of the time to be very extroverted and comfortable….most of the time it is just because i have my flip flops on….sigh….the secret is out…those close know…another long sigh…

so ….on with the night….girl in dress, no tights, and boots…(pouring rain) date and great friends….NEVERTHIRST fundraiser….wow what a treat….but….i have to say, while i do take my camera alot if not most places this was one of those where i would have embaressed my husband with my FULL BACKPACK that it takes to now haul my addiction with me….enter….PINCH HITTER….blackberry camera is a tad less embaressing for everyone involved….so unfortunately you will suffer here….greatly….but who cares right? one time and one time only!?

SARA EVANS was fantastic and absolutely hysterical….loves the Lord and she is great at her job….and i say, do what you do with a heart for God’s voice and his mission for your life…no matter what it is…hear God clearly by drawing near…he meets you exactly where you are and uses you….whatever condition your heart is in….

here we go….blackberry tour 2009….not the first shutter speed setting or apperture adjustment, but it does have aa single flash….ha!!

…..technical/server problems.- still can’t get the pictures to get to the right spot…server error 404, ugh!! the dreaded 404!!….nighty night…
