it’s day #2 and strangely i am paying for day #1 in spades- remember those cute little trx straps that look so innocent hanging from the BOLTS on the wall at gravlee fitness….and that CUTE little instructor i told you about….the FRIEND of mine….that TAUGHT SO WELL…..oh she is so talented……in punishment….i can’t breathe without those little muscles inbetween my ribs hurting. this is my punishment for falling of the wagon…..
why do people say “fall off the wagon” anyway? the only thing i can think of is that it feels like i have fallen out of a moving eighteen wheeler…..not sure exactly how a wagon would compare….soooo
-don’t expect me to answer my phone in less than 5 rings if i am across the room.
-bleachers…..not going to be climbing those at gymnastics to sit at the top row where there is a back.
the back of my car is accumulating things for sunday’s photoshoot- shoes, hair doo-dads, rain boots – spray paint- but no chickens or pigs to speak of today….
ok…so some of these days may be fragmented because basically that is just how it goes….isn’t that everyone in this stage?
here is the smooth transition you were anticipating….
are you a mom-photographer that wonders how to get genuine laughs from your children in order to have memories of their sweetest smiles?
here’s hoping my husband laughs hard enough in about 6 hours to snort his eggs in a faraway hotel with tons of strange Europeans watching….love you chad!!
p.s. i started thinking about days hmmmm 5,6,7 – this is going to get interesting……my week is definately more interesting than usual- stay tuned….

2 posts in one day…. it just might be a first!
so i thought i would tie some events of mine into a little series for you all. Aren’t you lucky? I thought about turning this series into a 10 days to launching a business or just 10 days of what to do while your husband is across the pond…..but settled on the minivan chronicles because that pretty much sums it up….. yup- said it publicly…..husband is gone- 10 days….BUT….i have mean neighbors, a really scary gate keeper, a bb gun, & a coyote in the back yard that will tear your tail up. so stay home if you are thinking about coming around here…..seriously…
so…i really do have about 10 days on the company thing…..and….
day#1
i still have my 0.0 sticker on the back of my car….i catch people taking pictures of it from behind and it probably goes straight in their newsfeed. it has not been great for my self-esteem honestly…be honest what would you assume the person looks like below the door if they are flaunting the fact that they don’t run. i hate to run…..seriously…walk ok…but run- only if that coyote takes off after me!!
the previews for be{tween} went off today (sorry they all kindof hit at once)- we are so excited to sift through cities and find our fabulous sales force!!! I can’t wait – we all can’t wait- for you to try on the garments and enjoy the help we are hoping they will bring…..
we are on a hunt (thanks to Sherry Fairbairn) for fluffy chickens and possibly a pig for the be{tween} photoshoot this weekend….we already have a donkey, horse & who knows what else will show up…i should not say “we” though- because i have been put on notice that no one on my payroll will touch chickens- true it is not in anyone’s job description around here….sherry said she would but – is it humane to use a leash? ……ha!
Sherry also suggested we paint a pair of cowboy boots silver with polka dots to match be{tween} clothes….welp….try and find some of those right now….march….welp rain boots here we go- btw- kids love to shop for things that you do not find at the first 2 stores- right?
my precious friend courtney of lil light o’mine is writing a press release for me….i had to google what it was the other day and help edit it today (for content thank goodness – close friends know that i am not the first person you want to hire to edit)- this might be interesting!!
i love that my most important conversation of the day with financial reprocussions was held poolside in a bubble while watching my child butterfly for 100 yards….it was extremely quiet, not distracting, and even better with another child on my lap! what fun!! the best part was when she was taking pictures of people walking by with the ipad….you can imagine what the vantage point was of child sitting in chair taking pictures of adults walking by- she was then coloring the pictures – no one saw them thankfully and she did not mean any harm but i am guessing that would not go over well…with the owner of the rear….
i joined a new gym today….the one the same block as the store in mt laurel. it just so happens that i knew 8 of the people in the class of 9 and my accountant is the instructor. has anyone else been punished by TRX straps lately? i kindof ate a salad for dinner, didn’t eat breakfast, and failed misreably in the class…..and i am still in major pain. not sure i remember that much of a close call on losing it as an adult….tomorrow might be interesting…..nice

I am incredibly excited to share the sneak peak!!! Photoshoot is this sunday (praying for calm wind, no rain, warmth, & all of the other details)…..
I didn’t realize what a heavy weight this has been to carry until i burst into tears when the UPS girl left…truly an exhale….
I will say that God has been good with regards to this project….but He is good no matter what…..even when things are just plain not good. I am grateful that He stays the same even if i am ever-changing….
I do love it….and I hope you will too….

hello PLU’s
it’s sunny and warm…totally uncharacteristic of february it feels like…my bridal wreath spirea are about to bloom, tulips are up at the exits to my hood, we all are wondering what to wear…..thankfully BBTN shipping to rocking right out of the door….everyday….it’s nuts….we love it…..easter outfits for everybody…(not really but we are excited, no phone calls please)
so this is really just a pop in…i had to deal with my hair today and that really cut into my blogging time…i hate personal maintenance of all kinds except pedicures- simply inconvenient…..so a list of things that i have learned lately just for fun…..
1. hair dye stains foreheads especially black….i knew this fact…but proceed to #2
2. removing hair dye from your forehead makes your spray tan dissapear in spots…which is worse? (MISSY DON”T LAUGH..) first spray tan ever…..jury is still out…i positively do not smell good….still
3. press releases will give you a migraine….and i didn’t even write it…i just googled what the heck it was.
4. 2 companies deep you should probably know what a press release is from personal or business experience because everyone else in the world seems to know what it is….
5. peru does not care about my timelines….
6. websites and people that work to put them together have all banded together (with the exception of KM) make me crazy and should be sent to some type of treatment program…..for those who are driving other people insane
7. insurance agents might belong to the same club…..commercial insurance and all of the what-ifs that come with negotiating a policy with 16 huge windows might keep you up all night….and you still have to be nice to your children the next day
8. being a gymnastics mom is not for the faint at heart…..it is no where similar to dance moms but pretty darn close….
9. bleachers are cheaper than therapy……or are they?
10. dust bunnies on a concrete floor might be in your nightmares as well….big huge ….coming for you dust bunnies
11. children who have birthdays once a year want to celebrate for approximately a week and consume at least 2000 calories a day in doing soo
12. accounting will make a person nuts….
13. tax season must be followed by beach season for a reason…..do you think God designed it that way?
14. my accountant has learned that i will listen intently but when my face is glazed over she must stop and back up…..
15. freighters are expensive and take a really long time to drive across the country….there is no urgency….however they act like their pants are on fire to start driving…..what happens to the urgency?
16. everyone should have a mom bag with everything from underwear to athletic wrap inside….
17. the older my children get the more things are plugged in around our house

hello PLU’s….
it is now february and it is not calming down any more than the holiday season or january. my guess is that this is just going to be it for now….you know by now i don’t like the word “busy”…because i think we commit ourselves and although busy is appropriate it is chosen….soooo….i say full…scheduled….um whatever….it is just plain busy i guess.
the holiday season was wonderful…basketball, gymnastics, family gatherings….the usual fun….we enjoyed the time off for everybody. January was a test.
February is better….but seems halfway over already for some reason
Those of you who are personal friends have watched status updates on facebook that might have included….#worstweekever or perseverence means something totally new after january….or whew!! It is hard to discern what to share here sometimes and thus my quiet but i blog for two reasons….one because i want to journal my family’s story for my kids and my memories & also because there has to be a way for me to boil down life and get to what the story is….what God is teaching me. I am certain that there is alot that i miss but i do know in the life of my family and in business God is teaching me to persevere & that is even more evident now than ever.
Whether through training my children, fighting against what the world would like to bring as distractions, or just plain working hard to get through something that requires alot of my personality i am listening most carefully to instruction from the Holy Spirit.
Work has been a challenge ….with new web pieces in place (not working well at first)- threatening my sanity to be honest….and my drive….there has been two times in my life now that i wasn’t quite sure that anything was worth it….for two different reasons thankfully…but i am talking hard….the hardest of times. Our team was thankfully determined and faithful not to let Satan have the foothold.
i reevaluated often during the month of january- asking God to remind me of his purpose for my life and constantly asking if he had changed his mind. Someone else would surely be better at some of the pieces involved…..but the answer has not changed. i have peace still and my heart has been taught. and so i write….
our pastor said this morning “faith is believing you are not alone” when speaking in reference to Matthew 8…the miracles that Jesus performed. I am so grateful for the word spoken there….God is always able to make things easy, he has conquered the root of all bad things already…sin, but when he does not choose to let it be easy i wish i trusted much more quickly that He is hard at work teaching my heart. It is simply how we handle whatever he allows that gives him the glory which is the very purpose for everything…..
to God be the glory for all things HE has done….
Oh God let there be lack of pride, a double dose of humility and the spirit of Christ evident in my daily actions….in all of us…in response to an incredible Savoir who doesn’t leave me alone…ever…what a blessing.
it is kindof a delicate balance though with teaching your kids this same concept….try your hardest, persevere, and work hard- it’s ok if you aren’t the best at everything….you don’t always get to win… in their spiritual lives- to learn that their work is not enough…to understand grace…God’s mercy on us when there is nothing in us that merits his love….oh what a concept!!
